Who writes these articles?Most of the articles are written by members of the Sons of the American Revolution, an historical, educational, and patriotic organization that seeks to maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom, an appreciation for true patriotism, and a respect for our national symbols. The authors are amateur historians acutely interested in the period of our American Revolution, because they had ancestors who were actively engaged in the Cause. Are the articles accurate?Most of the articles carry annotations, sources and/or bibliographies. They are a great source of accurate information appropriate for referencing in a high school term paper or research project. Do you accept articles from the public?If you are interested in publishing an article on the Revolutionary War Archives let us know. If your article is directly related to the American Revolution and passes a review, it could be published on our site. We are always looking for fresh articles on our nation's struggle for independence. How can I use this information?You can use this information as part of a school research project or term paper, as long as proper credit is given to the author(s). If you would like to distribute or re-publish an article in its entirety, please contact us for written permission. Can I contact the author?If you are interested in contacting the author, send us an email (use the "contact us" link in the main menu), and we will do our best to get you in touch with the author. Some of the authors are deceased, but their work lives on. I see an error. How can I get an article corrected?We are interested in presenting the most accurate and complete information available.
